Activate roaming before leaving.
Activation of roaming is free of charge for all prepaid subscribers and physical entity postpaid subscribers. Viva associated subscribers can activate roaming through a USSD command.
You just need to have a positive balance or credit limit. Subscribers can activate and deactivate the services or check their status through “My Viva” app, by sending the corresponding command .

Roaming can also be activated at Viva service centers. For activation please visit one of our service centers having your passport with you.
To activate the roaming service, the postpaid corporate subscribers need to apply to the authorized person responsible for their corporate package.
Deactivation of Internet roaming for postpaid subscribers
The Internet roaming deactivation service allows controlling communication expenses when in roaming, especially the expenses connected with unwanted Internet usage which can happen, for instance, when the smartphone makes automatic updates.
By activating this service, you switch off the Internet roaming and continue using voice and SMS roaming services.

After leaving
Outside Armenia, your phone will automatically select one of the available networks. In case you are not connected to any network, just turn off and on your phone.
You need to dial the numbers in international format when calling in roaming:
+ [country code] [area or network code] [phone number]
For example, to call to Armenia to 093XXXXXX Viva number you need to dial +37493XXXXXX.
To make a call using “Call to Armenia” service, one just needs to dial the following command:
*101*phone number#
The phone number should be entered in the Armenian local (9-digit) format, for ex. *101*093xxxxxx#.
Seconds after sending the command, you will get a call back and will be able to talk to your close ones.
You need to dial the numbers in international format when sending messages in roaming:

For example, to send message to Armenia to 093XXXXXX Viva number you need to dial +37493XXXXXX.
